Inspired by both the traditional Indian elements of her heritage and the vibrancy of her Manhattan lifestyle, Sheena Trivedi’s daring and futuristic label blends Indian fabrications with Western silhouettes. Her designs are a flirtatious dance between tradition and rebellion; elegance and strength; exoticism and the urban world.

Designed in New York City and manufactured in New Delhi, materials range from jersey to chiffon but are consistent in their promise of superior quality, comfort, and flair. Hand embroidered brocade with exquisite attention to detail and georgette combined with leather are some of the standout features of her collections.

Having grown up between different cultures and distinctive worlds, Sheena Trivedi is a globally inspired fashion designer. Born and raised in ‘Steelers Nation’, Pittsburgh, she grew up absorbing American passions for Primantis sandwiches, contemporary sportswear, and the black and yellow of her local football team. Still, the designer’s mother ensured the Hindi language was not lost on her daughter, and annual family trips to India exposed Trivedi to the eclectic mélange of multiculturalism synonymous with the vibrant cities of New Delhi and Mumbai. The result of her upbringing was a dynamic, cross-cultural household, whose members greeted each other interchangeably between ‘Hello’ and ‘Namaste.’

The designer spent her adolescence in Switzerland studying at the prestigious Le Institut Le Rosey, where she was introduced to European flair and sophistication. This further addition to her global perspective gifted her with a highly unique outlook that blended American comfort and edge with European elegance and South East Asian exoticism and respect for tradition.

After honing her skills through classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons The New School for Design, she jumpstarted her career as a buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue. While learning the tastes and proclivities of Manhattan style setters and international tastemakers, she began to see a void in the marketplace for clothing that fit her own tastes – the bold embodiment of both ethnicity and sportswear. It was with that in mind that she launched the SHEENA TRIVEDI brand, a bold womenswear label that flirts with both the tradition of New Delhi and the energy of New York.

Drawing inspiration from her multicultural lifestyle and daily life in Manhattan, combining a variety of unique experiences, her designs are fused together harmoniously in an elegant, forward-thinking masala of style.
